INFLUENCE OR ARE INFLUENCED

The basic law of association is that if you don’t influence, you are influenced except you avoid. There are basically three things that happen when you associate with people either face-to-face or through any inanimate medium: you are influenced, you influence or you remain the same. If the force of influence is greater than your resistance, whether you like it or not two things happen. You are affected positively or negatively which could either be a plus or minus to your life. Success is more of influence than any other thing that you can think of.  Successful people are people that over time have been influence positively rather than negatively. Success is a result of long term, consistent and ceaseless positive influence.

You can tell who you are and where you are going by the kinds of people that come into your life–your associates. Birds of the same feather flock together. More than half of the people those come into your life, invited or uninvited, have something common with you. You actually attracted them to you. There is therefore need to watch them and sieve appropriately so that you can remove the residue.

If you, on other hand have a greater force of influence than your sphere of contact, exposure and influence, you can influence them positively or negatively depending on what you are made up of. Your force of influence is built when your intellectual and spiritual life is built. You can easily influence especially positively when there is something that your sphere of contact can admire about you. Decide today to be influenced or you influenced positively only. Do you want to influence people positively and resist negatively influence? Then build your intellectual and spiritual life and you will be able to do just that. When I say spiritual life, I mean your relationship with God in the place of prayer, the Word of God and fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

The people that conquer the world in this our dispensation are not men of physical strength like Goliath or mental strength like the American army with their sophisticated weapon but spiritual giant. People whose lives are not governed by the five senses but by the sixth sense: the sense of faith. People that are fortified with the wisdom of God and drunken with the anointing of God’s Spirit.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome said the champions of our generation are not giants of physical strength or mental strength but spiritual strength. If you want to influence people become a spiritual giant. Physical giants are born giant, mental giants are trained but spiritual giants are called, nurtured and trained by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. There are no special qualifications for admission, everyone from everywhere regardless of race, age, sex and background are eligible.  You can be one, you can be an influencer.

KINGDOM SUPERSTARS

People from all generations, races and regions have spent their life time striving to achieve their dreams in one endeavour or the other; from the academics to sport, science, entertainment, politics, fashion, industry and business. Some lost their lives in the cause of the pursuit, some stayed alive but never made it and some achieved it.

To some the Nobel Prize, some the Grammy, gold medals, record breaking, name in the Guinness book of Records, a business empire, innovation and discovery are their greatest dreams that when achieved; they can heave a sigh of relief and go to the home beyond fulfilled. Some achieved only one of such dreams yet some several. They were celebrated, respected and revered. In fact some even earned national holidays.

Is it bad to have one of such dreams? No! I have some and enjoin you to have some. But the question is what next after the achievement of such dreams. You die and are forgotten forever or at most may have your story written on the pages of books? If that is all about it, then I dare say in the words of Solomon (Ecclesiastes 1:2). Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity and in my own words a purposeless pursuit and a merchandize in futility.

Do you want to be a superstar? Then be a Kingdom superstar. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. (Daniel 12:3). When you turn many to righteousness, you shall shine like the stars for ever and ever; in other words an eternal superstar.

How do you then turn many to righteousness? Give your partnership; in doing that, you’re a co labourer with our Man of God, Pastor Chris, in reaching out to the world with salvation-distributing eternal life, healing, divine presence to the peoples and nations of the world, word of God on the go, giving meaning to the lives of many, hope to the hopeless and building a happier world with love. You are also heaping up for yourself treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves don’t break in and steal.

IT BEGINS WITH YOU

Do you hate the way people relate to you? Are angry about the level of corruption in the country? Are you angry at the level of backwardness in sport, education and technology not only among our fellow African countries but the world at large? Are you angry that you came from a poor home? I am sure that these things bother you as much as I am.
Often times than not we are confronted with conditions and experiences that is against our wishes. If you take a critical and selfless look from the inside of your life you will find that you are in one way or the other contributing to increasing this things or reducing them. The rugged and evil world that we live in is as a result of the cumulative irresponsibility, wickedness, selfishness and rebellion of individuals.
You can effect a little change which can be like a seed that grows into a tree and produce fruit of revolution, reformation and transformation of our dear world. A little spark of fire can put the whole forest ablaze. People like Nelson Mandela and Martins Luther King Jnr started something that latter lead to the freedom of equal right of both Blacks and the Whites in South Africa and the United State of American respectively. Something that seem unachievable in their dispensation. Williams Wilberforce also started something that lead to the abolishment of slave trade, a phenomenon that can be traced to the beginning of the world. It is not the beginning of it that matters; it might be tough and rough even but keep on. The world will not celebrate you when you start but even your enemies will rejoice with you when you win (succeed). Someone once said success has many relatives and friends. It attracts people to you as flower attracts honey bees.
If every one of us will begin to be responsible for our actions and in our duties, the world will be transformed to a good place where every one of us will be pleased to live in. If every parent raise to their responsibility, every child to their responsibility and young person to their responsibilities then there would not be the negative things that we see all around us. The corruption we see today actually starts in the house, it creeps to the neighborhood, walk to the churches and mosques and fly to the organizations both public and private organizations. We

say the country is corrupt, but the question is who is the country? Isn’t it you and me?
If our mama shares food to every child equally and daddy give allowances to every child equally then corruption can be wiped out little by little. Daddy wears N20,000 naira shoe but mummy scarcely wear N1000 naira shoe. Then the children manage with a tore sandal and threadbare shirt to school. The parents are responsible for nursing the child at infant and nurturing them from kids through teenage and to adulthood by giving them the right nutrition for their physical health and the right morals. The right moral can be instilled into a child through discipline and living life in such a way that the children can proudly emulate. Zig Ziglar’s mama said “be careful the way you act because the children learn from what you do than what you say. When every home is morally sound then the whole nation is sound because the nation is the family and the family the nation.
Many will say every body is doing it; you have to know that you are not every body. Every good thing your eye has ever beheld and every good thing you have heard about was done by one person. Someone once said great things are done by individual not a group. Why done you be the first person to follow the right procedure, refuse to pay and take bribe, and refuse to cheat in and exams etc? That single act of yours might be ridiculous and insignificant but that can plant a seed in someone else’s mind that can germinate someday. Be the first person to do things right in that office, school, neighborhood, market, church or mosque. Your can encourage and challenge someone by that one act of doing it the right way. Stand out and begin to do the right thing. You Can the best person to do it right.

THE RHYTHMIC DANCE WITH GOD

Every culture in circular history and even biblical history has a form of different kinds of dance. These dance are usually done when a particular  sound is produced using different kinds of musical instruments ranging form using  some parts of the body such as the clapping of hands or stamping of the feet on the ground or some very sophisticated instruments that require skills and power. Dance is an integral part of every culture and it signifies several things. There is a dance for battle and a dance for morning a lost one.   There is also dance for celebration which is the reason for several dancing. 

Dance is usually associated with moving the different parts of the body in rhythm to a particular music. These are usually done with much excitement and ecstasy. It is usually a sign of celebration for a particular good thing. It can be a promotion, child birth, harvest, marriage, birthday celebration and several other blessing that we receive in life. In the Bible, God commanded the people to sing and make music unto him for who He is and what He has done to his people.     

 Every dance is associated with celebration and happiness. There is usually no moment of gloom and worry when people are dancing to a melodious music. Most of the times everybody temporary forgets about there problems because of how engrossed they are by the music. The celebration and happiness can be carried about for a life time if you dance a special kind of dance with God. This kind of things does not involve shouting and screaming to music played with any kind of musical instrument but by listening to the voice of God and acting prompting as we would do to a melodious music.

God speak to us in several ways.   It can a be the still small voice like Elijah in the wilderness, it can be through the audible loud voice like to Moses  or the whisper of the Holy Spirit to our hearts. It might be through His Word to us in the Holy Bible or through the Mouth of His servant. The means of communication those not in any way matter but is hearkening to this instruction and prompt obedience to it is what matters.  To continue to enjoy a life of ecstasy, excitement and fulfilment we need to constantly dance to the rhythm of the voice of God in every moment of our lives.

A Prosperous Soul

            When God created man, he was triune being with the spirit, soul and body. The spirit was the greatest, the soul, and then the body. At this time man operated through revelation; no wonder he named all the animals of the earth and waters without difficulty because he was carrying nature of God.

The original plan God had for was to live as spirit, containing a soul and dwelling a in a body. Man was to dominate the beast of the earth, the bird of the air and every that creeps upon the surface of the earth. Genesis 1:26

 Man was indeed a super being created in the image and likeness of God. He lived in continuous fellowship with God.

            When he accepted the deceit of the serpent through the woman by eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge good and evil; he became corrupted and turned to a victim of information rather then revelation. He then became a lower being and could not fellowship with God anymore because there was a change in the order and constitution of man. The soul became the head, then the spirit and the body. The soul which is supposed to receive information from the body to the spirit becomes the master of man. He is now controlled by the soul the center of will, emotion and desire.

            As a result of the change, he became dead as the Bible said in genesis 2:27. He became twisted and tossed by the environment, the things he is suppose to control have become his master in that the control him. He now lives in perpetual fear and at the master of the environment. Whatever he sees, touches, smells and taste become the truth to man. He takes the truth for fact and the fact for truth.  He became spiritually blind because he no longer operates in discernment but sense.

            Consequently he is befallen by a lot of diseases, worries, fears, poverty, and every other thing that the society presents to him. He became the servant of his circumstances and every other thing surrounding him.

But thanks be to God that Jesus Christ the only son of God who is able to restore man to his nature of being a spirit, with a soul and dwelling in the body has come. The mission of Jesus Christ earth is to bring man to this fellowship with God and nature as image and likeness of God.

            When we accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior; we are instantly born again; there is a restoration of our soul to it rightful position. II Corinthians 5:17

We are re-created to the original form in the genuine plan of God for man. We no longer are victims of information but revelation by the spirit of God. That is why we have power over sin and the devil.

            As a consequence of the restoration, our souls become prosperous and are manifested in our bodies. We now have power over sin, the devil, sickness and disease. God has downloaded his nature us and we are the most powerful beings in the universe second only to the God-head. Oh ye prosperous souls go and dominate whatever has ever overtaken and dominated you. Every prosperous soul shouts hallelujah.

Make the Right Choice

Man is the most powerful being in the universe after the God-head. He is the only creature that is given the gift of will. Even the angels in heaven do not have the freedom to choose the way man has. Angels are ministering spirits that serve the saints that are still on earth. Man, the most respected being by God amongs his creatures is given the will to choose either to do evil or good as he wishes. Man is not only given the freedom to choose but also analyze and predict the consequences of his choices.
As a result of this endowment man is the most intelligent creature among the creatures of God. This is because God pour out part of his being (essence) into man at creation by breathing the breath of life into the dust he molded. Because of this special endowment, man makes choices every moment and everyday of his life on earth. These choices in turn brings about tremendous result such as innovation of the good things of this life ranging from simple things like a hoe to as complex things like robot and also weapons of mass destruction, drugs and all forms of evil.
     The extent to which you can go–the impact you can make–depends on the moment by moment and day by day choices that you make in your stay on this earth. Man is made in such a way that several thoughts pass through his mind. It could just be a thought as simple as going to read a book or as complex as deciding how to make a gigantic machine like a ship.
Every action taken by man is a product of a thought. Thought give birth to action, action give birth to behavior, behavior give birth to habit and habit give birth to character.  The collection of the characters of a man defines who the man is. The mind is the most vital part of a human being whose location is not precise. Some people say the mind is located in the head that is the brain while others that is located in the heart. The location of the mind is trivial but its significance to who a man is cannot be over emphasized.
Man in his nature after the fall is corrupted and selfish. He wants a lot of enjoyment with no or little effort. The mind knows that a particular thing in important and can lead to one’s progress but the body naturally resist anything that will stress it except some extra effort is applied by insisting and engaging the mind until the body agrees to do it.
The definition of who a man is lies in the ability to control his mind by making the right choices daily and executing these choices every moment and everyday consistently and diligently. The height to which such a person can soar can only be limited by the limit of the height itself.
